UK licensed teacher with 3 years teaching experience, specialising in Geography and head of year 8.

Tutor's skills: I like to work with student to understand their needs and targets in order to tailor lessons specifically to them. I’m experienced in teaching EFL students, SEND students and although am used to teaching large groups, prefer 1-1 tuition to go into greater depth with a student in their learning journey.

Teaching style: My teaching style is friendly and relaxed, as I encourage students to develop their own interest and joy for a subject. I do expect students to work hard and be open to being challenged through the lessons, in order to make improvements. I like to work both broadly, covering curriculum content and consolidating knowledge, but also work specifically on written expression of ideas and exam technique. This ensures students are able to accurately express their learned knowledge, to meet exam requirements and achieve their target grades. I will work with students to identify areas they are most struggling with and start there.
