Brief self-introduction: 5+ years experience tutoring History and English. Extensive experience working with a range of ages. A particular specialism in preparing students for degrees at Oxford/Cambridge.


Tutor's skills: I focus on direct and inspiring communication. In tutorials, students are encouraged to expand their thinking while also focusing on cracking exam technique and achieving top grades.


Teaching style: My teaching style is both friendly and forensic. Through a mixture of written tasks, tutorial-style conversations and research exercises, I work to develop the quality of students’ written work whilst also encouraging genuine enthusiasm. In particular, I specialise in improving students’ communication skills, helping students clarify their thinking and argue clearly through their written work. These skills are crucial for gaining entry to top schools and universities, and I’m delighted to have helped many students achieve top results and win admission to Oxbridge.
