Service Description

Phase 1 1-to-3. Phase 1 content. Gaining an Academic Scholarship to an English independent school is a particularly challenging achievement. However, it can be a hugely beneficial one in terms of the status it provides, the extra attention a student receives and the reduction in fees that may result. Even taking the scholarship examination to a school is an excellent way of showing the school that a student is a serious candidate and will often result in a place at the school being offered even if the student does not achieve a scholarship. Our course comprises papers from the most prestigious and academic English independent schools, such as the King’s Scholarship of Eton College and the Winchester College Election, and is taught by expert teachers who have successfully prepared many students for these schools. Before the course: Preparation: Read Section A and B of the Winchester College Election paper 2021 Lesson 1: Comprehension Skills – Advanced Lesson Objective: To understand and practise the GCSE-level comprehension questions of a Winchester College paper. Homework: To practise the skills from today’s class and to read the poem and Question 1 (all parts) from the Eton College’s King’s Scholarship paper 2022 Lesson 2: Comprehension Skills - Advanced Lesson Objective: To understand and practise the GCSE-level comprehension questions of an Eton College paper.
